This 3 Day safari to Murchison Falls National Park offers Safari lovers an adventure to the biggest and leading National park in North-Western Uganda by taking a five to six hour thrilling drive. The trip consists of multiple stopovers from the famous Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Luwero where one can track the sole population of the Wild Rhinos in Uganda, to having lunch in the town of Masindi as well as getting a few of the natural tropical fruits before getting to the Murchison Falls sanctuary which is a haven to the gorgeous Murchison Falls that are found on the course of River Nile. Its waters force their way through a seven meter narrow gorge and drop over a high cliff of 43 meters high. You can enjoy seeing wildlife in the comfort of a four wheel vehicle on the various game tracks or have fun on a boat tour on Victoria Nile to the falls’ base.
About seventy six animal species inclusive of four of the Big 5 reside in Murchison Falls National Park and some of them are waterbucks, giraffes Oribis, lions, elands, buffaloes, leopards, warthogs, the Rothschild’s, Elephants, Topis and so many others. The park is among the IBAs (Important Birding Areas) in the country with over 451 bird breeds.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Drive from Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park
You will start your day at the hotel by having your breakfast early in the morning prior to being picked up by your guide-drive and start on a five to six hour ride along the Kampala-Luwero-Nakasongola-Masindi road to Murchison Falls National Park. You can stop by Luwero town to buy a few natural and sugary tropical fruits such as passion fruits, jack fruits, pineapples as well as yellow bananas. You will then carry on with your trip and once you get to Nakasongola district, leave the road and proceed to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track the Rhinos-some of the scarce big 5 mammals. A tour to this sanctuary will give you an opportunity to see the sole remaining population of the white rhinos in the country. Masindi Hotel is where you will have your lunch from.
Kichombanyobo gate is the entrance the park and it takes about twenty to thirty minutes to drive to Murchison falls from the Masindi hotel. You will be welcomed at the entrance by multiple species of wildlife with olive baboons being the first ones there to assure you of earthly paradise in the most remarkable and leading national park in Uganda. The Uganda Kobs, waterbucks as well as the warthogs are some of the animals you will notice as you are being taken to the lodge. You will then advance to the rather challenging walk to the falls’ top where the beautiful scenery of the Murchison falls from above will blow your mind. You will then be taken back to the lodge for supper and for the night after coming down from the hike.

Day 2: Early Morning Game Drive and afternoon launch cruise.
You will set off for a game drive in the morning after taking an appetizing breakfast and leopards, lions as well as hyenas being some of the mammals watch out for after their hunt. You can also keep an eye out for Ugandan kobs, elands, giraffes, elephants plus buffaloes. You can also notice a few of the bird species who refer to this park as a home during this two to three hour activity.The Northern and Southern sections of the park are separated by River Nile which crosses through the plains of the park. The Northern section in comparison to the Southern section is treasured for its game viewing since it is biologically richer. One will need to cross in a ferry towards the Northern section if they have booked an accommodation facility in the Southern section.
at around 11:30 am, you will get back from seeing the animals in the comfort of a vehicle and then have a short rest at the lodge and a hot lunch. You will later take a launch cruise on the t Victoria Nile to the base of the waterfalls where you will spot elephants, antelopes, buffaloes plus the Nile crocodiles as well as the huge numbers of hippos along the river banks, together with water bird species such as pelicans as well as kingfishers. The mind blowing sights of the terrific Murchison falls whose water will be crushing several meters below is the highlight of this boat cruise. You will then go back and relax at the lodge have dinner and spend the night.

Day 3: Departure to Kampala
after relishing your final breakfast You will go for a final game drive on this three-day trip to Murchison fall and have an opportunity of seeing species of wild flora and fauna that you did not get to see the day before. You can head back to the lodge after a period of two hours where you will check out and then travel back to Kampala through the Northern gate where you can stay for some minutes looking at the incredible Karuma falls and then continue with your trip. You will take a lunch break before proceeding to Kampala where the driver-guide will drop you off at a hotel of your preference in Kampala or to the airport for your departure flight. this will mark the end of our safari
